Spring (almost) Greetings!

Here at the NST we are busier than ever, marching into promotional projects and great things to come!!!

Our goal for 2010 as a team is- up promotion and recruit new members –

We are very happy to announce that in regards to promotion MANY of you stepped up to the challenge of promoting the Ricky Nelson Remembered 25th Anniversary, which included promotion of the three California shows coming up this month.

Special thanks go to Stephanie Saville who took a great deal of time to gather and compile an incredible list of retirement communities close to the shows. We thank ALL of you who answered the call to e-mail lists that were divided and sent out. Together you’ve made a promotional difference!! This is what we are all about team!

To everyone attending the shows in California have a ROCKIN’ time!!!

In regards to NEW members in February we reached the hundredth member mark!! A round of applause! Let’s continue on and make it two hundred before the year is over. Remember to the spread the word that there are two packages to choose from.

Hello to all the members of the NST!

Another month has quickly flown by as we enter into February!  We wish all of you a Happy Valentine’s Day and hope the month is filled with love and happiness!!

Lots going on in the Nelson camp and we wanted to fill you in on all the current projects and happenings! 

First we would like to remind everyone of our ongoing project for the victims of the Haiti disaster.  We ask all of you to please consider donating to the Red Cross and help make a difference in someone’s life today!  Banded together we can make things happen!

We have three upcoming shows for March in California that need promoting and we have been asked by management to really push the Canyon Club show!!  So spread the word!  Send out promotional e-mails; encourage your friends to buy a ticket to a fabulous show!

If any of you attend any of the upcoming shows we encourage you to mention the NST to other attendees!  Make sure and bring some of your NST material such as business cards or post cards to hand out!  Shows are a perfect location to promote the fan club!  Thanks to everyone that has renewed thus far and we invite those of you who have yet to rejoin to come back soon!!  You can view the new package at http://thenelsonbrothers.com/team/memberpacket.html.  We are also excited to remind you that we now offer TWO package levels.  For $40 (USA) or $45 (International) you will be a “Full Nelson” member obtaining all of the traditional goodies that you have received in the past, however we now offer “Half Nelson” packages for $20 (USA) or $25 (International), which is geared towards those of you who are interested in the online perks of belonging to the team.  There’s something for everyone, so make sure and check it out today if your membership is expiring soon or if you know a friend that has let their membership lapse let them know what the new options are!!

Don’t forget that NST chats have been moved to Sunday nights after the conclusion of our poll!  If you haven’t been to a chat in a while we would LOVE to see you!  Our sessions are held in AIM at 9 PM EST.  If we don’t already have your AIM ID let us know so we can add you to our buddy list and invite you when the chat starts!

We are finishing up on getting the winter edition of the newsletter together.  Our deadline has passed, but we are always looking for show reviews; photos of either shows or NST related events and anything else you would like to contribute!  For those of you who haven’t signed up for an e-pal shoot us an e-mail at nstquestions@yahoo.com and tell us about your interests!!  E-Pals is an excellent way at making friends.  Many of us here at the NST have made life long friends while sharing our love of the Nelsons’ music!

Hey NST Members!!
 
 

It’s December, where has 2009 gone?  We’ve had a GREAT first year for the Official Nelson Street Team and Fan Club and we hope that you have all enjoyed the activities and special offerings that we have brought to you over the year!!  We thank everyone that has renewed thus far and we invite those of you who have yet to rejoin to come back soon!!  You can view the new package at http://thenelsonbrothers.com/team/memberpacket.html.  We are also excited to remind you that we are now offering TWO package levels.  For $40 (USA) or $45 (International) you will be a “Full Nelson” member obtaining all of the traditional goodies that you have received in the past, however we are now offering “Half Nelson” packages for $20 (USA) or $25 (International), which is geared towards those of you who are interested in the online perks of belonging to the team.  There’s something for everyone, so make sure and check it out today if your membership is expiring soon or if you know a friend that has let their membership lapse let them know what the new options are!!
 
 

A big thank you goes out to those members who have contributed items and money towards our Troops Stocking Project.  Look for upcoming photos from Sue Therrien who we thank for coordinating this holiday project. 
 
 

This month we are offering a VERY special NST merchandise offer.  We will be offering Nelson Wall Calendars for 2010 for $20, however ONLY 25 will be available!!  Therefore the first 25 people that e-mail in to nstquestions@yahoo.com will be allowed to reserve their calendar!!  If more than 25 reservation requests are received then the ‘winners’ will be chosen by lottery!!  The deadline for e-mailing in is December 20th at 9 PM EST.  You will receive a notice outlining payment terms once we have our final list!!  Orders will be mailed out after December 25th.

Hey NST Members!!

It’s October and we can’t believe that it’s been a whole year since we reformed the NST launching the Official Fan Club!!  Renewals are on the horizon so make sure and invite your friends and family to join!  We always have fun and new things going on.  We are finishing planning out the new fan package and you won’t want to miss the new goodies that we have lined up for you!!

We continue to extend a HUGE thank you to all of you who have donated items for EBay for our fundraising project in support of Breast Cancer Awareness!  To date we have donated as a team a total of $254.43!!  Your continuous support during this project has been amazing!!

Hey NST Members!!

 Happy August!  We hope you are all enjoying your summer thus far.  We would like to thank everyone who has participated in our July flyering contest!!  We send out a big CONGRATULATIONS to our winner Jennifer Mykleby!!  Flyering is a GREAT way of spreading the word about upcoming shows in your area.  We hope to see members continue to flyer and send us photos, as this is perfect opportunity to turn promoting into a social.  Getting your fellow members together for a flyering event followed by a relaxing dinner can be a fun activity and allow you to get to know your fellow members!!

We have a new contest for the month of August!!  Since we’ve had such a positive response on contacts for venues we are asking everyone starting August 5th, to send in radio and TV station contacts. Information should include the name of the station, contact name, e-mail address, town and state of each submission.  Each NEW entry will be eligible for two award points and the member that submits the most submissions will win a NST notepad and sticky notes.  We can’t say enough how important it is that we build these lists as it serves as the backbone of the NST for promoting!!

There are venue lists organized by state located on the NST yahoo! Group “files” section. We ask that you please take a moment to look over these lists and send out a few e-mails. It takes only a few minutes AND it’s super easy, there are sample e-mails posted for your use in the “files” section and you earn points towards awesome reward prizes!!

We hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving and believe it or not it’s already December!! AND we have SO much going on!  First we would like to thank everyone that participated in the recent care package project for the troops serving in Iraq.  The response was overwhelming, beyond our expectations and we’re proud to announce that we were able to send THIRTY-SEVEN care packages out for the holiday season!!  Kudos to all of you in truly making a difference in these soldiers’ lives!!  We will be posting a thank you on the team website listing those names of you that donated by either sending items or pledging money for the shipping costs.

Our recent Nelson sign contest has ended as of November 30th.  Thanks to all of you who submitted some VERY creative entries.  We are pleased to announce that Cindy Brandon has won the contest!!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the NST membership contest in exchange for a $5 donation to St Jude's!!  We will be drawing the four winners shortly and sending out a message on the Yahoo board listing the newest members!

We are also running a contest for recruiting new members!!  The first person to refer ten new members that join the NST will win a prize!!  This contest will not end until we have a winner so make sure and tell all your fellow Nelson fans about the NST and how much we have going on!!  We’ve posted on the Yahoo board ideas on how to recruit members as well as hosting socials, so keep in mind that there’s tons of ways to get together with your friends and spread the word about Nelson.

Our Member of the Month is Judy Mae Osborne!!  Check out Judy Mae’s photo and blurb, which has been recently posted on the site.  Each month we select a random member from our roster and they are asked to write up a bit about what made them a Nelson fan. Congratulations to Judy Mae!!

Chats are held on Monday evenings so check out the calendar as well as reminders on the Yahoo board.  If you haven’t already please e-mail in your user AIM user ID to: nstquestions@yahoo.com to be invited into chat.  If you want to participate on a chat that can go on 24/7 check out the official chat room located on the Nelson Brothers site and stop in and see who is there.

Many items are one of a kind that you won’t find anywhere else!!

NST Projects:

Show your support for the Troops overseas! During the month of November the NST will be collecting items for care packages to be sent to soldiers. Please send all items to:

The newsletter will also be spotlighting the member who has earned the most points in that quarter. Welcome NST Members!!

 Welcome to the OFFICIAL Nelson Street Team Fan Club! LAUNCHED OCTOBER 4TH, 2008! Thanks so much for becoming a member of this very special team/club which will allow you as a new member to be given the exciting opportunity to actively participate in the promotion of Matthew and Gunnar Nelson! Very soon you will be receiving in the mail your official NST welcome package including many goodies and the official NST welcome letter! 

 While your package is in transit we encourage you to navigate through the NST website and take advantage of all the online features! You can navigate throughout the NST site and see that it is packed with so much valuable information, team photos, ideas on what you can do to help, and a message board - a place where you can talk with other team members and share your ideas. This member's only message board is a wonderful way of communicating with other team members.  Take a moment to drop in and introduce yourself to fellow members.
