Hello Everyone
Easter is over
and one more project is complete. The drive for St. Judes was a major
success. I’m sure all of the children there were smiling this Easter
thanks to all of you who so generously donated. Twelve very large
boxes of toys were mailed on behalf of all of you in the NST and Matthew
and Gunnar. A wide variety of toys, games, and craft items was sent
for all ages, and also 6 CD players and an assortment of CDs for the children
to enjoy who are not able to get up to play games. The total worth
of the toys was over $500. A cash donation of $60.00 that was left
over was donated to the St. Jude celebrity fan group under Gunnar’s name.
Thank you all for supporting this effort. Once again you have come
through Big Time.
Love and Hugs
Sue
Therrien

Following are
the notes that were written by Matthew & Gunnar to the children
at St Jude
Dear One,
Easter is
all about renewal. About the fact that your past does not equal your future.
And above all, that you are loved by someone you might never see in person...
but who's there pulling for you nonetheless. Know that today, and every
day after this one... Someone somewhere thinks that YOU are a total ROCK
STAR. You are loved! Happy Easter.

Hello Friend-
Easter is
the celebration of hope. It is about a better tomorrow. At this very moment,
as you read this, there is someone who wrote this note to you who is sending
you love and hopes that this Easter and the year that follows it are your
best yet!
Happy Easter!!!
Matthew

THE PROJECT:
Easter time is
JUST around the corner and we have a new project that we need your help
on!
Sue Therrien
is coordinating a project to bring some holiday cheer to the young patients
at
St Jude's.
We will be sending Easter gifts to each child on behalf of Matthew, Gunnar
and the NST. You have the choice of either sending items or monetary
donations directly to Sue. After consulting with a representative
from St Jude's we have been informed that Easter candy or any other food
item is not acceptable as well as stuffed animals. Items that can
be donated include:
Younger Children:
plastic toys
(i.e. Fisher Price) washable/durable
simple puzzles
- 24 pieces or less
shape sorters
stacking toys
blocks
Children 4
Years & Up
games - (i.e.
Hi Ho Cheerio, Candy Land, Sorry, Jenga, Parcheesi)
craft items
& kits
musical toys
(i.e. small keyboards)
dress up items
for little girls along with crowns, shoes, purses etc.
plastic Easter
toys for some Easter spirit
books, coloring
books and crayons
find a word
books etc for all ages.
Many of these
items can be found inexpensively at dollar stores and with all the Easter
themed items currently out you should have no problem finding lots of things
that can be contributed. Our goal is to send everything together
as one package, therefore we ask that your items and monetary donations
be in to Sue no later than April 1st.
Sue is willing
to do shopping for you, so if would rather send a monetary donation that
is fine!!
Any type of
donation is deeply appreciated.
We will be
putting a note into the box indicating that the package is from the NST
and a greeting from Matthew & Gunnar!

with the troops project we all know that the team will pull together and
make this happen!!
