"Why I Am A Nelson Fan"
Once, one friend
of mine, a composer and singer, said to me that I am the fan that every
long hair rock n' roll band wants to have. "Why?", I ask."Because you are
devoted to hard rock, seems that you were made for listen a good hard rock
song and even after
this 'grunge era' you're still loyal to this kind of 'philosophy'", he
said. And it has being like this since 1990, when I saw two blond guys
fronting such a good band and performing '(Can't Live Without Your) Love
and Affection' on MTV.
Now, after
18 years, being a Nelson fan is part of who I am. I was 13 yearold at that
time, now I'm 31, but there's some things that never changes.One of them
is my faith on Gunnar and Matthew, in their talents, in their loyalty to
their music and their belief in who they are. I admire these guys as musicians,
as idols, as human beings. And I will always follow their
music.
Besides, I
don't believe in coincidences. My father is a huge Rick Nelson fan. Me
and my brother, who is my best friend, were born in September 20 (4 years
and 45 minutes in between). Don't you think that I was made to be a Nelson
fan? I really think so.
