I've been a Nelson fan since the 90's. I guess you could say I was a pretty "loyal" fan considering the first time I saw them in concert was at Great America in Santa Clara, CA in 1991. I had strep, with a high fever, made it through the opening band, (got sick in front of them later!) got to see Nelson play 1 song and hear the rest laying in the car in the parking lot!
I've now been blessed to see the guys at least once a year since 1999. They are the greatest in person! (Like I expected less!) My life has taken me through several rough turns and I've taken my Nelson music and Ozzie and Harriet DVD's with me. Between having a first husband with a bad temper (I'm sure a few of you can relate... and if you're still in that situation... GET HELP!! IT WON'T GET ANY BETTER!!) To being diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2002, losing half my eye site, gaining a ton, losing energy, and my memory? It's gone! Oh and they shaved the front part of my head! Anyway, through it all, I would hum Nelson songs during my radiation treatments and watch Ozzie and Harriet and Nelson concert DVD's during my Hyperbarric treatments. This "compressed" Nelson even deeper into my brain! hehe
So, although I've been a Streetteam member since 2001, I haven't been up to "officially" promoting them. I do promote them word of mouth, and have made a few new fans that way. I've donated to St Jude for over 20 years, but, most of my time has now turned to the National Brain Tumor Foundation's Angel Adventure Walk each year, where, the past two years, Gunnar has given his permission for me to use "Just Once More" as my team name for the walk. Thank you again Gunnar!! 
I'm hoping to have more energy to participate more with the Streetteam this year. I'm not so sure about turning in the points though. It doesn't seem right to get something for giving to something you believe in. It's better to just give what you can, love & enjoy life, family and friends and of course.... be a #1 Nelson Fan!!
