I saw Matthew and Gunnar’s picture in a 16 magazine in 1986, I was 14, and thought they were the cutest boys ever. In the early 90’s I loved watching them on Mtv. Then in 2004 my mom IMed me and asked “Do you want to go see the Nelson Brothers at the Iowa State Fair?” I asked her “You mean the Twins with the hair?” 
That night Ricky’s music being played by his sons ignited a spark in my soul. I felt an excitement, energy and joy that I hadn’t felt since I was 14. That positive energy has lasted and taken me to places I never thought I’d go.  I have met the best people and the best friends through the Nelson extended family and traveled to places I never thought I’d go. 
I owe a lot to Matthew and Gunnar Nelson. Their music and energy has brought more to my life than they will ever know.
