I love Nelson for the music.  I love really great harmonies and melodies, and few do that as well as Matthew and Gunnar.  Their music is so real and easy to relate to.  It has helped me cope with deaths in my family, and other difficult times. Their songs have inspired me, and they cheered me up when I have been down.  No other band has been the constant soundtrack in my life that Nelson has. 

Beyond the music, I have always had a great deal of respect for Matthew and Gunnar as people. I know I only know a small part of who they are, but what I see are just two really great people. I have always admired them for their positive attitudes. They just seem so down to earth, grounded, and happy. Their passion for performing their music and their dad’s music is infectious. How can you not smile when you look up at them on stage and see them smiling at each other and the audience as the perform? They seem to have so much fun onstage, even after singing “Love & Affection” for the billionth time. I also admire them for their dedication to honoring their family legacy.
