I am a Nelson fan for the “trueness” of the songs.  I know that may sound strange, but I’m sure you will agree if you read my explanation.  The feelings that are expressed in the music are REAL.  They span almost every feeling that you can have, but again, they are REAL.  This is not made up stuff.  There are no cover ups.  Matthew and Gunnar are not trying to hide what they are feeling.  They are putting their feelings out there for us to listen to and relate to.  From the straight-forward and visceral “(It’s Just) Desire,” to the deep and thought-provoking, “Is That  How It Is,” (my personal fave), and the gut wrenching, “Just Once More.”  The songs are just HONEST and I am yet to find another artist or artists that connect with the listeners the way Matthew and Gunnar do.  I don’t think there is one person that can say that they cannot feel something while listening to one of these songs. People have all sorts of feelings and emotions but are sometimes afraid to let them show.  Nelson songs show no fear.  They tell all.   Everyone that has feelings can relate, and this is why I am a Nelson fan.
