I had the exciting opportunity to be Gunnar's Personal Assistant in Sacramento, CA, on September 24, 2004, at the Rhythm and Ribs Festival.  There was not much work to do because it was not a full band and there wasn't a sound check, so we spent the time before the show hanging out.  We walked through a cool old town that looked like something out of a Western called Old Sacramento and grabbed a bite to eat.
Gunnar is a pleasure to work for and hang out with.  He is very personable, easy to be with, and genuine.  I felt very comfortable with him and enjoyed my time with him.  Both Gunnar and Matthew have a great sense of humor, which was apparent the whole time, especially before the show when they were tuning their guitars and warming up their voices.  They played a little bit of a song, but instead of singing the actual lyrics, they sang different ones making fun of each other's outfits.
Being Gunnar's Personal Assistant was a thrilling and fun experience.  I had a wonderful time and I know that I will never forget it.  Anyone that is contemplating doing this, go for it.  You will have an experience you will never forget.  I know if I the opportunity present itself in the future, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
