Epcot flower Power 2006 will be something I will never forget. I have seen them numerous times in concert, but this took the cake. 4 days of seeing Matthew and Gunnar perform in a row, plus soundcheck on the 20th, but especially April 21st and 22nd, when I had the distinct honor and pleasure of being Gunnar's personal assistant both of those days. Yes not just one day, but two! Matthew's personal assistants for that Saturday and Sunday came and stayed at my house with me for those shows. Tammy Ehnisz and Lisamarie Dean. We had the best time together and now say we need to make this an annual event. I had meet Tammy in CA in November 2005 and we quickly became friends, but hadn't meet Lisamaire before....they are both now my friends and know I have their backs if they every need me.

Thursday night after Epcot was closed Tammy, Lisamarie and myself got to go the park and watch the guys do soundcheck that night. Which was so interesting to me to see how all of that comes together. We hung out with them for a bit that night and Gunnar started working me early, by having me carry his guitar into the dressing room. Not that that was really work.

The friday shows were great and we had VIP seats all 4 of the days and Tami let us enter the park through the backstage entrance the guys use 3 of the days, which was great.

So Saturday I PA'd with Tammy and we decided to spend part of the day shopping at Downtown Disney, before going to meet up with Tami and the guys at EPCOT. I was the hostess for the girls since I live here, showing them the sights. About and hour and 1/2 before we were going to head over to Epcot I get a call from Tami saying that the guys need a favor. The guitar tuner on the guitar Gunnar was using broke, could I go pick up a new one at this place 15min's away. Tami said Matthew already paid for it and the guy was holding the store open if I could go get it. So sure I was happy to do that, not a problem. However when I called the store owner to get directions he said the store was 45min's away from where we were at Downtown Disney, not 15min's. I was starting to panic that we wouldn't be back in time. So I called Tami and let her know and then me and Tammy ran to the car and booked it out there. (yes I was speeding!) We got there in record time, got the tuner and made it back in enough time for Gunnar to put it on the guitar. (Sigh of relief!) They thank me and said I saved the day. I was just glad I could be of help and was able to do that for them.

After that Tammy and I hung out with Gunnar in the dressing room as he attached the new tuner and chatted. Then Matthew came in and they ask our input as to what to wear for the first show that night. We set up the stage for the first show and then took our seats. After that show we went backstage and had dinner with the guys and chatted for a bit. Then again took our seats for show 2. Went backstage again in-between shows. And then were back in our seats for show 3. After the shows were over that night, we got to go with the guys to watch fireworks at this private dock.  We had to run out there and run past all the people to get to the dock. I know Matthew wasn't going to go because he felt bad that he wouldn't be able to stop and talk to this one lady out there. But Tami persuaded him to come and thank you Matthew for coming it wouldn't have been the same without you. So we sat with them and watched the fireworks which was so cool. Matthew  recorded them on his phone and was showing us. We came back to the dressing room and got pictures and stuff signed before leaving and Gunnar made me some hot tea to go. Thank you Gunnar!

So if that weren't enough I got to do it all again on Sunday with Lisamarie. Lisamarie and I got to the park a little that day before Tami and the guys. But as soon as they got there and saw us they said hey and we followed them backstage. We noticed that the set lists for the night before were still posted on the stage, so we quickly took those down as the guys practiced a bit. Then set up the stage for the first show, with water, towels and set lists for all the guys. After the first show we took down the old set lists and put new ones down, with water and towels, as we also did for the next set. We went backstage with the guys after the first show and had dinner as the guys were watching some reality TV show and we watched that a bit with them and chatted, before taking our seats.

After the second show we did the same thing and went backstage for a bit. Tami ask me after I finished setting up the stage if I could help a fan, that wanted his guitar signed by the guys. So I took the guitar back there and had the guys sign it for him and brought it back to the guy and he was so overjoyed that they did that for him. That just made me feel good that I was able to make that happen for him. I'll never forget the smile on that mans face when I brought back that guitar to him all signed. I'll never forget that and that I had a part in making that happen for him! Tami had the VIP's go backstage at this point to get some time with the guys and Lisamarie and I escorted them back to their seats afterward. Then we ourselves took our seats. Then again after the third show for the night we went and watched fireworks with the guys and came back and got pictures and stuff signed before leaving for the night.

The next day all 3 of us still had VIP seats and got to go backstage again with the other VIP's. I have to say, I never PA'd before and was a bit apprehensive about the whole thing, but I am so glad I did it and I think Epcot was a great place to be a PA. If anyone is considering doing it, go for it, you won't be disappointed. The guys make you feel so at ease and relaxed, feels like you are just hanging out with friends.

Thank you to Tami, Matthew and Gunnar for everything. I had the best time with all of you and my roomies (Matthew's PA's) Tammy and Lisamaire. This was something I will never forget and I'll cherish these memories of this for the rest of my life.
